A pregnant belly was the best social lubricant since having a dog to walk. And having a baby in tow is the best way to meet strangers since the pregnant belly. I have never seen so many complete strangers come up to us and act like blithering idiots as when they see this little girl! And now that she has started smiling I'm sure it will get even more fun. I don't have a picture of the elusive smile, but here's one of Olivia fresh out of the tub, starting to show a little chub.


For the record, the first real smile in response to something was when Jill walked in the door to bring us dinner on February 6.
