You might be a Fredneck

I just never know when I'll encounter a funny/ memorable/ picturesque moment, which is why my camera is small -- it lives in my purse.

A couple weeks ago I kept getting freaked out by this display when I walked in the grocery store (and every time I came near it) because out of the corner of my eye it looked alive. So of course I had to take a picture and blog about it. I live in a somewhat rural part of Virginia, and the local term for country bumpkins in our county is "Frednecks." (Note: Only people who live here can poke fun at the locals, otherwise it's considered downright rude.)

If there's a display for a drawing at your grocery store that completely obscures the coffee shop and offers NASCAR-related prizes, you might be a Fredneck.

I'll have you know that I have been to a Nascar race and had a fun time, but I did not enter this drawing.

It made me do a double take every time I walked into the grocery store. Did it have to be so HUGE?!

Nice. I still maintain that NASCAR is not a sport, though people around here swear that it is.

I love Martin's cafe, by the way. It is my favorite new place (of the last 2 weeks).
